Well worth a visit is the former Cistercian abbey “Koster Arnsburg”. The abbey was established in 1174 as a subsidiary of the world-famous abbey “Kloster Eberbach” in the Rheingau region.
The abbey is a 5-minute walk from our car park along a paved path that is also illuminated at night. There is a small entrance fee for visiting the interior of the abbey.

Nestled in the grounds of this historically romantic abbey is a chapel bearing the evocative name “Paradieskapelle” (Paradise Chapel). The chapel is directed by Reverend Manfred Wenzel, who can be contacted at the following address: Kirchgasse 22 in 35423 Lich-Eberstadt; by calling 06004-517; or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Typically evangelical, the chapel has a modest interior. It can seat around 120 people and is very popular for events such as weddings and christenings.
The professional cantor Beatrix Pauli can provide organ or harpsichord accompaniment at these ceremonies.
People who are looking for a church ceremony without any architectural pomp and circumstance will be well looked after at the chapel. Another positive aspect is of course its proximity to “Landhaus Klosterwald”, which is just a stone’s throw away!
